HAUL + REVIEW | Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and China Glaze Nail Polish ♡

HAUL + REVIEW | Naked 3 and China Glaze
So this post has been promised for weeks now (Sorry!) but here it is! the long-anticipated Naked 3 palette is the latest addition to the Naked range. It is full of rose-y tones that'll suit most skin tones. I also picked up some China Glaze nail polishes that I think are perfect for the holiday season!

The colors in this palette are gorgeous! They all have rose tones in them and I love wearing pink eyeshadow as I feel it gives a soft and feminine touch to the eyes. These are pretty soft eyeshadows. Most of the shades have good pigmentation. I find that the lighter ones are a bit flakey and crumbly while the darker ones are smoother and very pigmented. Darkside and Blackheart stained my arm a bit when I tried to wipe them down with a dry tissue >.< These are all new shades as well, which is great for those who like never-before seen shades or having repeats of the same shade in different palettes.

There's a variety of finishes. Dust, Buzz and Burnout are shimmery. Burnout, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, and Darkside are satin finishes. Strange, Limit, and Nooner are the only mattes in this palette. Blackheart is a black matte with an overlay of plum burgundy glitters. There's a good balance of light. medium, and dark shades so you can create endless looks with it

The packaging is also very sturdy. The shadows are housed in a metal container with a nice rippling effect on the top. This palette also includes four trial size versions of the 4 primer potions that Urban Decay is so famous for in Original, Greed, Sin and Eden. For swatches of Greed and Original, check here! If you're curious as to how Sin and Eden look like, click here! I don't have the packet with me but each bubble is supposed to last for a week. The brush that comes with this palette is doubled ended. It is soft and great for picking up and packing on the eyeshadow, especially the glittery ones. You can also use it to do some crease work or blending out the harsh edges of your shadows. the mirror is also very big so I don't need to bring in another one, making it handy for travel.

Dislikes:
Though some of the shades were pigmented and easy to apply, the texture is not consistent across the palette. I found that the glittery shades were harder to evenly swatch and when applied on the eyes, all I got was glitter and barely any color. The colors in the pan do not accurately reflect the color you get on your eyes. Though they look brown-ish in the pan, they come off way more pink, which was to be expected. I don't know if it's just my weird eyes but even when using UDPP, these shadows apply a bit patchy and crease within 6 hours in the inner corners of my eyes, which doesn't happen when I use cheaper primers and shadows. When using my Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Inked in Pink, I don't get any creasing or weird color payoff. I'm going to play around a bit more with these but I don't know if that's going to be a deal breaker for me, especially since this palette costs $52. I've also picked up the Lorac Unzipped Palette which has a similar concept with the rose tones eyeshadows, but we'll see how that performs.

I've included close up pictures of each shade and the swatch as well for an in-depth look.

Bottom Line:
I'm sad to say this, but save your money. Ever since I've gotten this palette, I've used it maybe 3 times. When I'm in a rush, these are not the shadows to reach for as the patchiness and shimmery-ness is not that great for everyday, at least for me. I'm usually rushing about in the morning and I don't have time to remove or fix it if it looks bad. That might just be a me thing that the palette's fault but I like things to make my life easier, not complicate it. The shades are gorgeous but if I'm not going to use it every day, that's kind of a waste, especially since it costs $52. I recommend going to Ulta or Sephora to swatch it first before you commit to buying it. Sephora has a great return policy so I'd buy from there (I did originally too). You can also find in on Urban Decay.

I've also picked up some nail polishes! They were so sparkly and holiday perfect so I grabbed a few.

A look at the brush. Smaller than the ones included in my other nail polishes.
