REVIEW| Kat Von D Triple Threat Tattoo Liners

These are the last eyeliners that I'm reviewing for the eyeliner series! The Kat Von D Tattoo Liners are some of the coolest liners I've tried yet and I am so glad to be reviewing them for you today!

[Review] Kat Von D Triple Threat Tattoo Liners

These liners are some of the best eyeliners I've ever used! When I first started using liquid eyeliner, I hated it. The NYC one that had a really long brush and flimsy tip was very hard for a beginner for me to use. But, I put up with it because I loved how long lasting it was once it set. I stopped using it because I had lost my Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen, which was my holy grail liquid liner. The Kat Von D Tattoo Liners are similar to the Revlon Eye Pen in that both are in marker form, making it easier to use.

Likes:

The packaging for each pen is sooo cute! I love the silver foil on each pen. It makes each pen stand out for me, easier for me to find when I'm looking for a specific liner look. The cap makes a loud click sound once you cap it properly, which helps the liner from drying out. Also, the cap kind of bounces until you cap it tightly, which is interesting. Each liner has a jet black formula that dries in seconds, rendering it budgeproof for the entire day! I have very oily eyelids yet this doesn't transfer onto my top lids or lower lashline. There is no discernible scent and it doesn't irritate my eyes. I haven't had a problem with the tips feathering or wearing out but then again, I don't use it every day. I only use liquid liner for a dramatic look.

Dislikes:

The tip of the Sinner pen is pretty pointy. When I use the tip to line my eyes, it pokes my eyes and makes it water. Laying the tip on the side prevents that problem but it doesn't give me the thinnest line that I can possibly get. Other than that, the Kat Von D Tattoo Liners are great!
[Review] Kat Von D Triple Threat Tattoo Liner Poetica
Poetica has got to be my favorite! As you can see, it can give really bold or thin lines. I find that it has the softest tip out of the three liners. The tip for this one is pretty unique. From the side view, it looks really thin but when you turn it slightly, you can see the thickness, kind of like a paddle. The tip gives the thinnest line in my opinion.

[Review] Kat Von D Triple Threat Tattoo Liner Saint

Saint has the thinnest tip out of the three yet the line that I get from it isn't very thin at all. Like I mentioned before, the tip is pretty pointy so lining my eyes with it kinda hurts a bit.

[Review] Kat Von D Triple Threat Tattoo Liner Sinner

Sinner is probably my least used liner. It has a conical tip that makes it easy to vary the line thickness.

Bottom Line:

I think this is a limited edition set but the regular one looks similar to Saint. I would repurchase Poetica but definitely not Saint, which makes me sad. The liners are $19 at Sephora so it would be worth it to check it out. If you can find Poetica on eBay or Amazon, I'd definitely snatch it up! I also found the set of three on Amazon but it is waaay marked up.

>>Update: 01/11/14<< I found the entire set on Sephora but I don't know how long this sale will last so if you want to pick it up, i'd advise you to do so soon!

So that's it for this post! I have one left and that's all the posts for 2013...can't wait to see y'all in the new year!

XOXO,
MWAH ♡
