REVIEW | Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! I just want to thank y'all for coming to read my blog even though you should really be spending time with your families. :P If you couldn't gather from the title, this post is going to be about the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner in Navy.

REVIEW | Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner

Last year, I was obsessed with finding the perfect dark blue liner. This one was one of the ones I picked up to try.

Likes:

It's a retractable pencil, so if you turn up the product too much, you could twist it back down. It has a sharpener included on the bottom so you can always get a precise tip. The formula is long-lasting and does not transfer on my oily eyelids as much as some other pencils, drugstore or high end. This pencil sets in 20 seconds or less. After that, it is pretty resistant to smudging and water. Rubbing the swatch does not remove it. I find that splashing water on it or putting my hand under running water would not remove the pencil but if I rub my wet hand really hard, some of the swatch would lift. I had to use eye makeup remover to get it off my hand. It's pretty impressive for a drugstore eyeliner.

Dislikes:

The pencil is really dry so I have to press harder on my eyelids, which isn't what I want to do around that delicate area. It isn't as pigmented as I had hoped so I have to go over the line I made a couple of times to achieve the desired intensity.

Bottom Line:

I think I would repurchase. Even though the formula isn't as creamy or pigmented as I had hoped, the staying power and packaging really stand out to me as high end products don't even come with the sharpener. I always have a hard time getting a precise tip so the included sharpener really makes it a great product to have.

If you're interested in trying this out for yourself, you can find it at Revlon, Target, and Ulta.

MWAH Musings ♥

  • I'm going out to lunch with my sister and grandma today but she's an hour late >.< She's always late...
  • I'm interested in trying out the Blackberry and Cocoa color from the Revlon line. Have y'all tried them?
  • Sorry that I'm so late with my posts. I didn't anticipate that I'd be so busy during the holidays with family and whatnot. Thought I could still have time for myself to update the blog. Stupid mortal -.-
So that's it for this post! I hope you find it helpful. Hopefully, i'll get back on track with the weekend coming up!

XOXO,
MWAH ♥
