Wahhh can't believe it's the end of February already! I know it's a shorter month than usual but those 2-3 days seem to make a huge difference. February was quite an eventful month for me so my makeup life suffered a bit. Haven't posted a Favorites in months so I'm glad to share some items I've been loving. I've finally found a body butter that I love so let's get on with it.

FOTD | Naked and Exposed: The Valentine's Day Special

I'm (perversely?) satisfied with my title, haha. 50 Shades of Grey has been on my mind lately as the movie hit theaters this past Valentine's Day weekend here in the States. With everyone on my social media feeds talking about it and extensive PR, I couldn't avoid it--if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! My friends and I planned on going to see it but as I wasn't feeling well, we settled on dinner and movies at home instead. So grateful for friends that are willing to change up their plans for little ol' me at the last minute--thanks y'all!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette Makeup, Valentine's Day makeup
I've been a bit under the weather lately so blog posts have been scarce around here. I actually tried this look out a week ago so that I could post it as a Valentine's Day look but we all know how that turned out (╥︣﹏᷅╥) Anyhoo, no use crying over spilt milk so let's get on with the show! It's not exactly a tutorial but hopefully my explanations will help you see how I created this look :D

FOTD | "Sweet on You": Valentine's Day Edition

Too Faced Chocolate Bar makeup look, Valentine's Day makeup
History repeats itself on my blog as last year's Valentine's Day look was also late. However, I decided to go ahead and call it this anyway even though Valentine's Day has come and gone. The important part is the makeup, not so much the holiday itself, amirite? I love applying my makeup and such more than going to the actual event so consider this my playground results! I've heard tons of good things about the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette so I decided to grab and test it for myself. I'm still in my honeymoon (testing) phase with this so I'll share my thoughts soon! I decided to use products whose names reminded me of love and romance in honor of Valentine's Day. Anyway, on with the look~

REVIEW | Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows

REVIEW | Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows in the spotlight, mesmerized, grandstand, showtime swatches
When I started out in makeup, my favorite makeup products were eyeshadows, especially shimmery ones. I would only wear eyeshadow and no other makeup, LOL. Fast forward 5 years, I'm still loving eyeshadows. When I heard that Makeup Geek was releasing the Foiled Eyeshadows, I immediately rushed to get on the mailing list to pre-order these. Now that I've had some time to play around with these, I'm going to share my thoughts with you! The shades I have are Grandstand, Mesmerized, In the Spotlight, and Showtime.

REVIEW | Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

REVIEW Makeup Geek Eyeshadows unexpected, twilight, prom night, sensuous, cosmopolitan, bitten, moondust, cinderella swatches
The Makeup Geek Eyeshadows need no elaborate introduction. If you've been following the Youtube beauty community for any amount of time, you've most likely heard about the Makeup Geek, Marlena. She released these eyeshadows a while back but I only tapped into these recently. After playing with them for a while. here are my thoughts on them! I chose 8 colors: Unexpected, Sensuous, Twilight, Prom Night, Cosmopolitan, Cinderella, Bitten, and Moondust.

REVIEW | Makeup Geek Pigments

REVIEW | Makeup Geek Pigments utopia, insomnia, enchanted, birthday wish
I admit, I'm not a fan of pigments. Being a slightly clumsy person, loose powders scary the makeup beejeesus out of me. However, I heard so many good things about Makeup Geek Pigments and decided to take a leap of faith. I ordered four pigments to start off: Birthday Wish, Enchanted, Insomnia, and Utopia.

This box is one of my favorites as I've been able to get use out of all the items, which is rare for me in mystery subscription boxes. Featuring mostly makeup, keep on reading to see swatches and my thoughts :)

REVIEW | Josie Maran Argan Color Stick

REVIEW | Josie Maran Argan Stick swatches, love, beautiful, pink peony, coral, pink

This winter has been the winter of dry cheeks for me. Nothing seems to apply smoothly and blend into my skin well. I've had these Josie Maran Argan Color Sticks for a while now and have been putting them to the test. These argan oil-infused color sticks impart a sheer wash of color over your cheeks and lips for a natural and long-lasting finish.
