RE-DISCOVERY | Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer

So if it wasn't apparent in the title or with the picture, this post is dedicated to the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer! I'm a huge concealer junkie and was immediately intrigued when I heard about this.

When it first came out, everybody and their mother was talking and raving about it. When I heard Elle Fowler from AllThatGlitters21 on Youtube raved about it, I knew I had to get it!

At first, I was pretty happy with it. I had just started college and with the late-night study sessions, my dark circles got more pronounced. It was pretty cool how well it masked my dark circles without feeling heavy. This concealer has more of a liquid texture but it is packed with pigment! However, I had trouble with it staying on my under eyes and looking good. When I added powder, it just made my eyes look too dry and crepe-y. Without powder, it only lasted two or three hours before it started too look weird but adding powder just made my eyes look old and tired. I shelved it away, moving onto a different concealer.

When I was cleaning out my makeup, I found this again and decided to give it another try. However, the twisting mechanism was broken! I kept twisting and twisting and nothing came out. Frustrated, I emailed Maybelline and they promptly reimbursed me the money I paid for it, which was very generous with them. They didn't ask me to send in the broken product either. So what I did was remove the little squishy applicator and twist out whatever product was left into a different container. I was always wary about the "microbial-resistant" sponge applicator anyway so it wasn't a loss to me to say bye to it.

I have it in shade Medium and below is a swatch on it. I'll update later with before and after photos of my under eye circles. :)

I've been using it nonstop for the past few weeks! I don't even touch any of my other concealers. I just love how light it feels and how well it covers everything with just a little bit of product! I feel it brightens my under eyes without being obvious. I don't think I could live without this concealer anymore. I highly recommend picking it up if you're in the market for a good under eye concealer! They come in four skin tone shades as well as two additional corrector shades. You can get yours here!
