Romantic Look Inspired by SNSD's Tiffany

So I had meant to post this as a Valentine's Day makeup tutorial but I didn't have time to put it together. So, I renamed this a "Sweet Romantic Pink" Look that you can wear whenever you feel pink!

A quick overview of all the products used in this look!

Base Makeup (excuse the chipped nails--I'm redoing them after I get this post up--promise!)
Tiffany has impeccably flawless skin so I wanted to emulate that with the L'oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup in shade Nude Beige W3. In the advertisement photo, Tiffany's skin looks luminous so this is perfect for giving that naturally dewy look without going overboard. If you are wearing this look in the morning, the added SPF 17 is a must! Using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush really gave my skin good but natural looking coverage.

Eyeshadow
Tiffany's eye makeup looks really simple. I applied a wash of a Peptol Bismol pink all over my lid using e.l.f.'s Studio Eyeshadow C Brush, making sure to blend and blur it into my crease. The color she has looks matte but the one I used has a slight shimmer that isn't noticeable at all unless you're all up in my face O_O. Adjust the pink shade according to your skin tone.

Apply some pink eyeshadow to the bottom lash line as well. I recommend blending it out very well because pink around the eye can make it look sickly. If your eye is already starting to look swollen, don't worry because the brown eyeliner can help ground the look. If that still doesn't work for you, a lighter shade of pink might be the best way to go!

Eyeliner
Next step is the eyeliner! Tiffany's eyeliner is pretty thin, flicking downward for an innocent puppy eye effect. It isn't that clear in this picture, but I've done that also. I like using a soft brown gel liner, like the Etude House Sweet Recipe Chocolate Smudge Liner #2 Milk Choco Brown (LE) but any brown will do. The brush I used with the gel liner is e.l.f.'s Studio Small Angled Liner Brush.

For the inner rim, line the inner half with a chocolate brown liner. You can use the same gel liner if you are comfortable, but for me, I prefer using a pencil liner for ease of application. I used Tarte's Cashmere Waterproof Gliding Eyeliner in Bronze (LE) but any brown liner will do, preferably without shimmers lol. For the outer half of the inner rim, I used a nude liner, Rimmel's Scandaleyes Waterprood Kajal Liner in 005 Nude to be exact, to open up my eye and reduce the swollen eye effect of the pink eyeshadow I've applied all over.

For mascara, I applied Revlon's Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara to the top lashes after curling them with e.l.f.'s eye lash curler. I have a dislike for this mascara but after waiting for it to dry out, it's a bit better. My opinion hasn't changed much from the review I have of it here, but at least it's more usable to me now. For the bottom lashes, I decided to go with Benefit's They're Real! mascara since it gives me such great length and thickness; however, I personally do not like the bottom lash look on myself (all for the sake of this tutorial!)

Tiffany has really straight brows but that doesn't look all that great on me. I just went with my natural brow shape, filling in my sparse areas and gel-ing the hair into place with Revlon's Brow Fantasy in Dark Brown.

I forgot to mention that I primed my eyes with Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Eden to even out my eyelids. This is especially important when you are working with pink eyeshadows because they can make your eyes look swollen, as I've mentioned before.

For the lips, I nude-d my lips with e.l.f.'s Matte Lip Color in Nearly Nude. I went for a pop of pink in the inner part of my lips using Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in Lovesick.

And that's it for the look! It didn't look like she used a blush but you can totally add one if you want to--tailor the look to your needs! To keep in line with her look in the pictorial, I also omitted the blush. I also did not use a setting powder because I wanted to keep my face dewy. With this foundation, I find that it sets quickly and helps me stay oil free for about 4 hours, even without a blotting powder over the top. I'm not going to wear this look for 4 hours since I'm going to wash it all off before I hop into bed lol.

I'm sorry for the crappy photos but I took this at night with my weird indoor lighting that made my skin look pink in some photos and yellow in others. I'll try doing tutorials in the morning so the natural light can make this look better T___T. I tried to edit them post production but that didn't really work all that well >___<

I also included the reference photo below for those who were interested in it. *Mini-Disclaimer* I don't think I look like Tiffany nor do I want to (she's pretty but I think I like my face too). I don't know what the actual products used to create her look was (though I'm sure they're all from the brand IPKN, since she's endorsing them) but I used products that I think are close enough to create a similar look.

So this concludes another post from me! I'm sorry that it's late but here it is :) I really love Tiffany and SNSD (Any S♥NES here?) and love their clean and simple makeup. Let me know what other looks you'd like for me to recreate or do :)

MWAH Musings ♥

  • Went to CVS to return some items--and walked out with new things -___-
  • Checked two CVS's and one Walgreens for the new Maybelline Nude Color Tattoos--and I never go to a physical store to buy my products--but none of them had them T____T. Am going to another Walgreen's tomorrow and if I still can't find them, I give up.
  • Have class at 11 tomorrow and still haven't read my stuff--eek!

XOXO,
MWAH ♥
