First up, Covergirl's Clump Crusher mascara was recommended by Eleventh Gorgeous. I had trouble finding a good mascara for my lashes and since they loved it so much I decided to give it a try. This is strong competition for my favorite mascara! It lengthens my lashes like no other yet doesn't smudge and smear! I do use the water-resistant formula so that really helps them stay on my lashes and not my under eyes. It holds a curl very well and the formula is very black :) I have a more in-depth review of it here!
Tarte's Aqualillies Palette was the summer favorite of many YouTubers, prompting me to jump in the craze. I was traveling home for the summer and didn't want to bring too many products back so this came in handy. It is advertised as being waterproof, though I didn't get to fully test this claim, I did my cousin's makeup for her senior photo with it and it lasted through the heat and humidity that day! There are six eyesadows; the colors are more on the neutral side except for Poolside (a nice aqua blue) but they come in matte (2) and satin (4) finishes for a variety of looks. The eyeshadows are appropriately named with a summer theme. They are definitely pigmented so be cautious! I used the matte dark brown (Hammock) as eyeliner on days I wanted a lighter look. Sundeck, the matte medium brown, was a good shade to fill in my eyebrows. Bikini is an interesting shade! It is gold with pink sparkles, which showed up nicely on the eyes. It also comes with a champagne highlighter, aptly named Champagne, a warm matte bronzer in Park Ave Princess, and a matte coral blush in Captivating. I love Park Ave Princess for warming up my face and giving it a nice, healthy look. I sometimes use the cheek products as eyeshadows and I haven't had a problem with them staying on my lids. The embossed design on the blush makes me hesitant to use it but the blush is such a lovely color that complements a summer tan that I can't help myself sometimes! Though summer is fading into fall, There is a big mirror that stands up by itself. I still see myself using this palette as it has nice neutrals and dark enough colors to deepen my look.
XSparkage really inspired me to buy Benefit's Bronze of Champions Palette. I've never been a fan of bronzing or contouring, but I decided to learn how to do so because I like trying new things! This palette contains the well-loved Hoola bronzer, lipgloss in Hoola, one cream and one powder eyeshadows, and a cream light champagne highlighter. Since I was new to this, I decided to go for a cult favorite and I have never looked back. Hoola is wonderful for contouring because it is a neutral brown instead of a warm brown, which looks more natural as a contour shade. Though I liked Park Ave Princess from Tarte, it was better as a bronzer than a contour shade for me since it is much warmer.
Milani's Corallina Blush was prompted by SecretLifeOfABioNerd. She really loves Coralista from Benefit and this one as well, so I decided to get both! I like Coralista a bit more because it is more on the matte side but Corallina gives a nice shimmery highlight on days you don't want to put on both products. Corallina is also very pigmented, as it is a baked blush. Corallina is also more affordable than Coralista and can be found at most drugstores or on the Milani website.
Bubzbeauty really got me onto the BB Cream train and I have never looked back. I got the Skin79 Hot Pink and Gold Label BB creams due to her recommendation and to this day, they are still my favorite formulas for BB cream. They don't cling to dry spots but they contain my oil pretty well. The gray tone of the product may scare some people away, but it does adjust to your skin color after 30 minutes or so. I can layer this over my dark circles or redness for more coverage without it caking up, which is very nice. It lasts for 4-6 hours without powder on my combination skin but if I set it with a little powder, it lasts all day for me! I tend to use this on days where I have a bit more time to get ready because it does take a while to adjust to your skin tone but it photographs flawlessly and I don't get any flashback even though it has quite high SPF. It brightens my skintone like no other and looks completely natural and healthy. I just love it so much! I bought mine on Pretty&Cute, but I'm sure there are many other websites that stock it now for much cheaper--just make sure yours is from a reputable seller and not a fake product. You can also get it from the official Skin79 North America website.

StyleSuzi liked the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream so I got it as well. I love this product for when I'm in a rush because it doesn't need time to adjust to my skintone. #27 Natural Beige is just a tad too light for me in the summer when I have a tan but not too light that bronzer can't fix. I love how it comes in multiple shades that caters to more skintones than the usual BB cream. It has SPF 42 and has protection against UVB and UVA rays, which is good for summer use. It is a bit of a thicker formula than Skin 79 Hot Pink and Gold Labels BB creams, but it does have better coverage. The formula is still lighter than most foundations. It does have a slightly pink undertone but it's not too off for me.
MacBarbie07 is my wallet's nemesis! She's convinced me to get Rimmel's Stay Matte Pressed Powder as well as Revlon's Balmstains. The powder is an okay one. I didn't find that it performed better or worse than any other powder I've tried. It's just so-so. On the other hand, Revlon's Balmstains are some of my favorite lip products of all time! I have almost all of them because I love the colors and the longevity. My favorites are Rendezvous and Romantic. I find that oranges and reds look the best on my skintone as well as brightening my face. They can give a sheer look or a bold statement lip depending on how many layers you apply. They really do last really long once the balm wears off. I eat, drink, and talk a lot and it never comes off! It is a bit drying once the balm wears off but it's nothing a little lip gloss or lip balm can't fix. These balmstains come in a variety of shades, from dark berries to bright pinks and natural nudes to vibrant reds. I've been using other lip products at the moment but have recently fallen back in love with them due to this post ♡
Sunnydahye convinced me that I needed Skinfood's Dark Circle Salmon Concealer Cream in my life! If I was only able to rescue one product from my makeup stash from a burning building, this would have to be it! After searching high and low for a good coverup for my under eyes, I've finally found my holy grail product! There's nothing that I can find fault with this product--I just love it! I even have a review on it here!
I'm sure there are other products that I bought because of YouTube, but these are the ones that come to my mind at the moment and I love using them. I can say for sure that YouTube will definitely convince me to buy more things (╥﹏╥)
XOXO,
MWAH ♡
