FAVORITES| September 2013 ♡

So it's that time of the month again where I share with y'all my most loved products of September ♥ This month, it's going to be a little random but let's just get right into it!
benefit they're real mascara, elf beauty book in cool edition warm edition, elf essential lipstick in Posh, Classy, and Gypsy, lipfusion lip gloss

More: First up, I really love eyeshadows. They were some of the first makeup products I used and I have accumulated very many of them. I love eyeshadows from ELF, even though they are a bit hit and miss. These palettes, Warm and Cool, are my favorite palettes from ELF because they contain every color needed to create a variety of looks in a simple, compact case. They are smooth and are decently pigmented. These don't have fallout but I do pat the eyeshadow instead of sweeping it across the lid. They blend easily. The only thing that I don't really like is that the finish of most of the eyeshadows are glittery or shimmery, which makes them hard to wear in the day for me. I usually have to take out another palette if I want a matte shade but it's not often that I need to do that. Overall, I really like these eyeshadow palettes and would recommend picking them up!

More: I don't like lipsticks very much because they just don't last very long and I don't like high maintenance products. But, these lipsticks from ELF are tolerable for me :) ELF's Essential Lipsticks are only a dollar yet I feel they perform very nicely. I have almost all of them but my absolute favorites for autumn are Classy, Posh, and Gypsy. They aren't moisturizing like a Baby Lips or Lip Butter but they don't cause my lips to peel or anything. You do have to have pretty smooth lips before you apply these because they will accentuate any dry patches but I find that I have that issue with many lipsticks. They don't last very long but they are pretty pigmented with one swipe and the darker colors leave a stain effect. They wear off naturally without leaving my lips looking patchy. They are smooth and feel very nice on my lips. They are scented with a sweet perfumey smell that I kind of don't mind but I'd rather they not be perfumed at all. The lipsticks have more of a matte finish and I feel like that adds to their staying power.

I'm not really a lip gloss girl either but I like using them in the colder months when I want to keep my lips moist. I feel that lip gloss is better on days when I have chapped lips instead of lipstick or lip stain. Lately, I've been loving Skylark's Sophia lipgloss and LipFusion's InFATuation in Pucker Up

Sofia is a lighter berry color on my medium skintone with subtle shimmers in it that plump up the lips a bit. I like how smooth and long lasting it is but it isn't an uncomfortable sticky feeling. It is pigmented so I really like that. The packaging is also super cute and I'm sad they don't make this any more. It looks really natural on my lips, which is great for those no-makeup days. The applicator is also pretty interesting as it has dips on both sides, which allows me to get enough product on my lips without having to dip a second time for more product. It doesn't dump a bunch of it on my lips either.

Pucker Up is a medium mauve color. It has a brush applicator, which isn't my favorite type but it works. I find that it deposits too much product on my lips so I have to wipe some off with a tissue. It's another great natural lip color for me when I want to have more color on my lips. It's a nice "my lips but better" color. It doesn't have any shimmers in it either but it feels gritty. This supposedly plumps up your lips and I do feel a slight tingle but I don't really notice anything. The website does say that it'll improve with time but I don't really wear lip gloss every day >.< It has a nice grapefruit smell that I adore. It is slightly sticky but if I apply it lightly, it isn't uncomfortable.

More: I'm still loving my Benefit They're Real! Mascara. It's almost perfect for everything that I want a mascara to do--lengthen, separate, volumize, and define! The only thing that would make it perfect in my eyes is making it in a waterproof version. It does smudge on me quite easily, but I've found a way to make it work. I layer a waterproof mascara underneath and then apply the They're Real! mascara on top and it seems to work for me.

More: For my last favorite, I've been loving Just Dance 4 for XBOX Kinect. I am a very sedentary person (I hate walking) so thing game is a miracle for people who hate to exercise. I'm not the most coordinated person in the world nor am I a very good dancer but this game is my life now O_O At first, it was hard to look at the screen and do the moves at the same time but when I got used to it, I've never stopped playing. I can play for hours and not get tired, until I stop for breather. There's a different difficulty settings but I find that they aren't very accurate >.< I also have Just Dance 3 but I like JD4 more...maybe because I played it first....

So those are my favorites for this month! September passed by really for me and I can't wait for the weather to get cooler (✿◠‿◠)
XOXO,
MWAH ♡
