Hey everyone! It's that time of the year again where all the cosmetic companies are releasing their collections ♥ I also got some other things to try out as well! This is a pretty big haul so I'll split it into two parts for easier digestion. Part One will be the things I got from Tarte, NYX, Palladio, and Mally Beauty while Part Two will contain the rest of the items
≧ω≦
I love Tarte products! They are my favorite high-end brand--I do not mind shelling out big bucks for their products because I think it's so worth it! This year, I got ahold of Tarte's Off the Cuff Amazonian Clay Cheek Palette and Bracelet and Tarte's Stop & Stare 6-piece Eyeliner & Lash Set!
The Cheek Palette contains 4 blushes and 1 bronzer. The blushes are
Crave (pinky peach),
Dazzled (berry),
Darling (coral), and
Dollface (cool toned pink). The bronzer is in the color
Park Ave Princess. It is matte and leans on the warm side but doesn't look orange. All the products are matte except for Dazzled which has tiny shimmers that aren't visible unless you put your face right in the product! They are all creamy and pigmented, which is the standard for Tarte :) They do lean to the warm side but I think that's best for my complexion. I like the color variety because I'm not very adventurous when it comes to my blush so having all of this will hopefully help me step out of my box :) This set also comes with an adorable bow bracelet. I love bows and though I don't wear bracelets much, I think this'll be a great statement item to pair with a black dress for the holidays! It is a snap button closure with two different buttons to accommodate for big or small wrists. My wrist is small (most bracelets don't fit me (︺︹︺)) but on the smallest button, it fits perfectly! It's a little bent out of shape because of the way it's packaged but I think it'll mold to my wrist if I keep wearing it. I found mine at
Sephora :)

The Eyeliner & Lash Set is really gorgeous! There are two smoulderEYES waterproof liners in
Rose Gold and
Taupe. They are chubby pencils that you can use to line your eyes or all over the lid as a base/shadow. It comes with a smudger on the other end to blend out the color if you so desire. They are on the metallic side and I can't wait to try them out! It also comes with 3 skinny smoulderEYES waterproof liners in
Purple Garnet ( burgundy base with purple shimmers),
Onyx (matte black), and
Azurite Green (matte hunter green). All of the liners swatched smoothly and are very creamy! They set really quickly and once set, are practically budgeproof. When I wiped a wet towel over them, the smoulderEYES chubby liners and
Purple Garnet didn't not smear one bit!
Onyx and
Azurite Green had minor smudging but I was wiping pretty roughly on my arm. The liners were also opaque with one swipe (I layer more for easy swatching) which is amazing. I haven't tested them on my eyes yet, but judging from how well they performed on my arm, I think they'll be a hit for me! The set also comes with a deluxe sized "Lights, Camera, Flashes" Statement Mascara. I haven't tried any mascaras from Tarte before so this'll be fun :) I got mine at
Sephora but it is also available at
Ulta and
Tarte.
Update 01/22/14: You can still get this on
Tarte.com if you didn't grab it the first time around.

NYX is well-loved as a cheap but effective makeup brand. One of their most famous products is their Jumbo Eye Pencils. I got eight (
Ulta is having a buy one get one 50% off sale!). I picked up
Milk, Cottage Cheese, Lavender, French Fries, Yogurt, Sparkle Leopard, Sparkle Nude, and
Iced Mocha. I'll be giving more info in an upcoming review! You can find more colors at
NYX.

I've only recently started trying out Palladio but I stocked up on my favorite blotting sheets from them using Ulta's "buy one get one 50% off" sale :) I got
Translucent and
Warm Beige. Warm Beige is new to me but I really want to see if it'll give any coverage. Here's a link to my
review of these blotting sheets!

Ulta is currently have a
21 Days of Beauty. Each day, different products are featured, giving you major discounts! I took advantage of this and got Mally's
Face Defender. It claims to mattify the skin, get rid of pores, give you younger looking skin, and prolong your makeup! I've always wanted to try it since Emilynoel83 mentioned it in one of her videos. It comes in a purple compact with a rounded triangle sponge to apply the product. The product looks like a clear gel. I'm a little worried about the sponge because it will get dirty and there's no place in the compact to store it so taking this on-the-go may be a little challenging but nothing that can't be overcome! I'll let y'all know more about this product once I try it out :)
So that's the end of Part One of this haul! If you are interested in picking up the Tarte Cheek Palette or the Tarte Eyeliner Set, I recommend grabbing them quickly before they go! Part Two will be coming up this Monday so stay tuned!
XOXO,
