I always use waterproof mascaras when possible because I have watery eyes and oily lids, which always make my mascara smudge like no other! This however, stood up to everything! The brush is made of plastic and curved like a spoon with short bristles. I really like how it's curved because I feel that it cups my lashes better than a straight brush. I can get all of my inner and outer lashes with one swipe. The brush isn't so large that it makes it hard to not smear it everywhere when I apply.
The formula is also really good! It's very dark and black. It lengthens and separates my lashes amazingly, and like its name, there are no clumps! I don't have to use a lash comb to separate or get rid of clumps which saves a lot of time. It volumizes well enough but I feel that Maybelline's the Falsies does that so much better. Even when the mascara dries out a little, it doesn't give me any clumps but it didn't volumize any more; I still got defined lashes though. To remedy this situation, I applied a volumizing mascara first and then went in with this to separate my lashes and get rid of clumps. I can whack on as much mascara as I want without having to worry about my lashes clumping together--which is great because I can get a little too happy with the wand ≥⁰,⁰≤
It wears well throughout the day. I've gotten so many mascaras that claim to be waterproof or water-resistant only to find I have panda eyes at the end of the day! It's so frustrating...however, this really lasts well under anything! I used it during the summer and when I would sweat, it still stayed on my lashes and not my under eyes! When I yawn or tear up watching my dramas (Love Rain ♡), it would stay put. At around the six hour mark, I would find very slight smudging on the outer corners, but other than that, it performed very well.

One thing I don't really like is that it didn't hold a curl very well for a water-resistant mascara. Waterproof and water-resistant mascaras usually have a higher amount of wax in them (repels water) which helps hold up your lashes but I notice my lashes start drooping at 4 hours and at 6 hours, they point down. To combat that, I just give my lashes a few pumps with my lash curler, which isn't such a big inconvenience.
Despite that, Covergirl's Clump Crusher is my all-time favorite drugstore mascara. Maybelline's The Falsies used to be my favorite back in the day but I haven't tried it out recently so I can't say for sure that it's still a favorite. I tried to find the waterproof version but they didn't have any at the drugstore (I really dislike the regular formula--smudged like crazy!) I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already!
