Hello everyone! I'm back with another FOTD and this time, I wanted the focus to be on affordable makeup. I get a little carried away and buy tons of high end products but there are also excellent products from the drugstore. All the products in this look are from the drugstore so you'll get a beautiful look that will also make your wallet happy as a clam!
Let's start with the face! I primed my face with the MUA Matte Perfect Primer. It's not good at controlling oil or reducing shine but it does smooth out texture on my face and makes my foundation glide on better. I use about a pea-sized amount on my T-zone. I next move onto my foundation. I used the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation (product smackdown). I've compared it to the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in that post so check it out for more deets! A U.S. quarter-sized amount is just enough for my face and spot-concealing. I probably added a bit of bb cream to lighten the color. Since this foundation is quite matte, I like to add a bit of glow back in my face and the Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow hits the spot! I need at least 3 layers to get it to show up on my skintone but I wouldn't recommend it for people with uneven texture on your cheeks since the glitter sparkles can emphasize that. For touch ups, I prefer to use powder and my go-to is the L'Oreal True Match Powder. It adds just the right amount of coverage, absorbs the oil, refines my pores, and never looks cakey. The inclusion of a mirror and sponge puff is great for on-the-go! For my lips, I applied the L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip Balm in Rose Elixir for a hint of color and hydration. I'm not a fan of traditional glosses but this makes my lips glossy without feeling heavy.

Moving onto the eyes! To keep everything lasting longer and making the colors more vibrant, I applied a teeny bit of Wet N Wild's Fergie Take on the Day Eyeshadow Primer. For eyeshadows, I used all the shades from the Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quad in Autumn Copper. After giving the primer time to set, I applied the warm, peachy satin lid shade all over my lids with my finger. Next, I applied the neutral-toned taupe into my crease. For some added definition, I applied the chestnut brown color into my outer corners and outer lower lash line. To highlight my inner corners and brow bone, I used the linen shade. Once all the eyeshadows are done, I moved onto concealer. For my perfect shade, I mix equal amounts of Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Medium and Sand. After I set my under eyes, I applied the Avon Big & Daring Mascara (unboxing). I wanted to brighten my eyes further so I rimmed my waterline with the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Nude and added extra sparkle to my lower lash line with the Innisfree Summer Eyes Gel Eyeliner in #2 Pink Champagne.

The grand total of this look is $82.57usd. While that seems exorbitant, I didn't buy any of these items full-priced. The beauty of purchasing from the drugstore is that there are always a sale going on. Add coupons, membership rewards, and other discounts/promotions, the actual price would be much lower. I encourage you to check out your local paper, online coupons and deals for the most savings! If you would like a post on how I save money shopping for makeup, let me know down below!
After writing this post, I'm curious to see how much everyone's everyday face cost.
Tally them up below and satisfy my weird curiosity (please)!
