FAVORITES | May & June 2014 ♥

I'm so sorry for not posting a May Favorites last month but I was just too busy to apply any makeup, let alone write about them. This post will be combining some this I liked last month and ones I've rediscovered this month!

laura mercier tinted moisturizer, revlon photoready cream blush in flushed, maybelline fit me concealer, laura mercier face polish, tarte maracuja concealer, elf eyebrow kit, elf small stipple brush, NARS radiant creamy concealer,
Excuse the crappy picture...took this with the sun setting and as I'm not a Photoshop expert, this is the best I can do D:

Laura Mercier Face Polish -- Never have I liked an exfoliator more than this one. When my skin was going through a really dry patch, this came in so handy. With the gentle beads, it scrubbed off all those flakes without irritating my skin. Really love this and would repurchase for Winter.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude -- I've never been a fan of tinted moisturizers as they don't provide enough coverage for my taste. This one is quite thick and has medium coverage without being too thick. It definitely replaces my regular moisturizer and SPF--a true multitasking product. The color is also a decent match for me. Would repurchase this once I run out.

e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush -- Didn't think much about this brush at first but EmilyNoel83 recommended this for cream products and since I have a ton of cream blushes collecting dust in my drawers, decided to shell out for this. Needless to say, it has changed my mind on cream blushes, making them mess-free and easy to apply. Don't get this one confused with the Stippling Brush (such a flimsy mess). Would definitely consider picking a few more to rotate.

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in 200 Flushed -- The bright magenta color made me question my sanity but to my surprise, it's quite sheer. I didn't like it at first but after getting the e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush, I'm loving it for a natural flush. My cheeks flush more of  a red color but the magenta makes it look more innocent and doll-like. Review coming soon!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Medium -- One of the three rediscoveries these past two months. It's a bit dark to disguise my blemish marks but the strong orange undertone makes it perfect for covering up my pesky under eye circles. The thinness is perfect for the under eyes as it doesn't crease or slip and slide all over the place. The doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply but I like to blend with my fingers. I do get a bit of leaking out the top but it isn't major that I've wasted product. Would definitely repurchase in the future. Might get a lighter shade for blemish marks.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard -- Everyone and their mother has been raving about this on Youtube so I decided to see what the hype was about. Needless to say, they weren't wrong. It has great, lightweight coverage without creasing. A little goes a long way. I definitely like it but I don't know if I will repurchase. Guess which product on this list it reminds me of?

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Medium -- Got this last Spring but didn't start using it much until summer of last year. It was too light to cover blemish marks but it worked wonders at covering my dark circles. Was one of three products I used every day last summer. Last winter, I tried using it to cover blemish marks as it is quite thick and full coverage but it was too dark. It's Summer again but I've been using it mostly for my under eyes. Review coming soon!

e.l.f. Brow Kit in Medium -- I love my elf brow kit! It's only three dollars and contains a colored wax, powder, and applicator that work. There is a mirror, a bit on the small side, but if you're on the go or trying to pack light, it works. I can create natural or bold brows easily with this kit. This kit comes in four colors; I have Medium and Dark. Dark matches my dark brown hair better but can look harsh if I overdo it. Medium is a bit too warm for my hair but it looks better for Summer. I even hit pan on Dark which is saying something. :D

So that's all the products I've been loving for the past two months! Now that I've stopped buying new things, I've been rediscovering a lot of old loves that I've fallen back in love with. Let me know some of your favorites down below!

MWAH Musings ♥

  • Went to the neurologist today. Said everything was normal but still wants me to do an EEG, which is suppose to measure my brain waves. I've already spent a lot on two consultations with my PCP, an MRI, and now this specialist visit--I'm not about to spend more $$ for something I don't need, especially since my MRI came out normal.
  • Had Subways after a really long time. Got the Italian BMT on Italian Herb and Cheese bread with Chipotle Southwest and Ranch. Totally reminds me of the time I had breakfast on the sidewalk after moving out of my dorm room last Spring. Wanted the Broccoli and Cheddar Soup but they didn't have any D:
  • Have a headache but don't want to take aspirin or a nap since it's so close to bedtime for me (and I use the term "bed time" very loosely--it's just the time I jump into bed. When I actually fall asleep is a whole 'nother topic).

XOXO,
MWAH ♥
