FOTD | New Year's Eve look using Naked 3 Palette ♡

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so excited to post this up for you as this is my first post of 2014! I meant to post it yesterday but I was busy helping my mom cook some things for the family New Year's Dinner we're having later tonight. Even though New Year's Eve is over, this look might come in handy for other parties you want to attend throughout the new year! This is also my first tutorial so I hope you enjoy!

An overview of all the products and brushes I used :)

Eek! Bare faced XD

I started with a freshly washed face. I applied my moisturizer, concentrating on my dry spots. I primed my face with the Anthony Logistics Instant Fix Oil Control*. I also applied Vaseline to my lips to keep them moisturized while I apply my makeup.

Sorry for the brightness in this photo...will work on it soon!
Next, I applied my foundation using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. I used Loreal's True Match Lumi Foundation in shade W5 Sand Beige all over my face in a buffing motion. I also applied Maybelline's Age Rewind Dark Circle Concealer in shade Medium on my under eye circles. I set everything using Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder in shade 018 Creamy Beige with a powder brush. Last bit for the base makeup, I sprayed MakeupForever's Mist & Fix all over my face.

After that, I primed my eyes with Maybelline's Color Tattoo Metal Eyeshadow in 55 Inked in Pink. I used ELF's concealer brush to apply the cream eyeshadow.

This is the gorgeous palette I worked with ♡
All the eyeshadows I used in this look were from the Naked 3 palette. For a quick overview, I used Nooner, Darkside, Buzz and Dust in this particular eye look. I also have a review of it here.

To start off the eyeshadows, I used Nooner in my crease and outer V area with ELF's Contour Brush. I brought Nooner above my crease a bit and also halfway into my crease, if that makes sense. I also applied it on my upper inner corner area for a more defined eye.

After that, I applied Darkside to my outer V area to darken and intensify the look using ELF's Contour Brush. I blended everything out using the Bubbi Blending Brush.

Next, I applied Nooner two-thirds of the way on my lower lashline. I put Dust on the inner third of my lower lashline to brighten the eyes a bit. Lastly, I applied Darkside on the outer third of my lashline to define the eye. All of this was done using the very tip of the ELF's Concealer Brush. I don't like using multiple brushes because it gets tiring washing so many brushes so I reuse the same brushes as many times as possible. I blended out the lash line with my pinky finger for a softer look.

I lined my eyes with Tarte's Waterproof Gliding Cashmere Liner in Black Orchid, flicking my liner out at the end for a winged liner effect. I also rimmed my waterline with Rimmel's Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kajal Liner in 005 Nude.

To finish off my face makeup, I applied Tarte's Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess under my cheekbones, under my jaw and chin, as well as the sides of my nose for a contoured effect. For the bronzer, I used the Real Techniques Contour Brush. I put a little bit of Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface. To apply my blush, I used ELF's Complexion Brush.

To finish off the entire look, I applied ELF's Matte Lip Color in Coral all over my lips.

And that's a wrap folks! Here's a picture of the completed look! I'm very happy with the outcome though my poor camera skills didn't pick up the glittery awesomeness of the eyeshadows. I also curled my lashes, applied mascara, and filled in my eyebrows a bit but didn't have a picture showing that >.< I forgot to pick up some false eyelashes but those would totally complete the look! I definitely would like to do more of these in the future. :) I've included other pictures that might help you see the eye look and stuff better below. Let me know how I did in the comments below (be nice please :3)

So that concludes my first post of 2014! Starting off with a tutorial was ambitious for me but I had a lot of fun creating this look and taking the pictures. I think I need to work on my lighting a bit more but I was doing this at night so the lighting in my room was the best I could get. Maybe next time, I'll try doing tutorials in natural lighting to see if I get better results. Anyway, I hope your 2014 will be the best year yet! I know I'm excited to start off the new year! It's almost 4AM here and I have to wake up early to go shopping with my mom and aunt--gah. I'll leave you with this and good night!
