REVIEW | Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter

I'm back for another post! With the drier and windier weather comes the dreaded chapped lips. No matter how much water I drink or lip balm I apply, my lips just peel and look horrendous. But never fear--Vaseline Lip Therapy is here to save the day!

[Review] Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter

I picked this up in desperation because the corners of my lips got really cracked and it just hurt so much when I opened my mouth. I immediately slathered this on right before bed and woke up the next morning without pain! With consistent application whenever I felt dry, my cracked lips went back to being soft and supple again!

I know there's a lot of people who are against putting petroleum jelly on their bodies, let alone their lips, but it is the only thing that works for me. My family has been using tubs and tubs of Vaseline for years for every dry spot and it cures it all!

Likes:

I love how small the tub is--it fits into any bag or jacket pocket for easy application when needed. I am a bit iffy about putting my fingers into the pot, especially since it's going on my lips but I just use hand sanitizer before I dip my fingers in. I love the cocoa butter scent because the original scent just didn't appeal to me. It is the same color as the original. I don't think there's anything different from using this or using the original formula as a lip balm. As I have used both, they have the same effect. I just like the convenient size and scent of this one.

Dislikes:

The only con I have is that once when I applied it on my lips, it made my lips burn! I'm not sure what I had on before I applied this but I immediately wiped it all off. That was the only incidence when that happened; when I apply it now, it doesn't do that. My friend also bought a tub at the same time and that hasn't happened to her. I'm thinking that only happened because whatever I had on my lips before didn't agree with this. Needless to say, I am a bit more careful when using this product, making sure my lips are clean and bare before I apply. i also only apply the needed amount instead of slathering it all over my lips. Sometimes the cap comes off if I just throw it in my bag so I make sure to put it in a separate pouch or small pocket so it doesn't jostle around with other stuff in my bag.

Bottom Line:

I would recommend it, especially when regular lip balm doesn't cut it! I even use it on other dry spots I have on my face--making sure not to double dip my fingers (no contamination!) but it is pretty greasy so I only do that at night. I hear that Vaseline released a rosy colored one as well. I'm interested in trying that one out but I'm going to make myself finish this one first. >.< You can get yours here!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Day and good luck finding deals on Black Friday!

XOXO,
MWAH ♥
