Hi all! I'm back for another A to Z Project Pan update. I meant to do monthly updates but since I'm making slower progress than I thought, I decided to do quarterly updates instead. Hopefully, it's not boring since there will be better progress pics. Since my last update, I finished three products and rotated in three new ones! Read on to find out which ones they are ;).

PROJECT PAN | A to Z February 2018 Update

Hello everyone! If you've been following my Project Pan on Instagram, thank you! I'm super excited as this is my first major project pan. Anyhoo, I thought the blog would be the place for a round-up, a summary of updates on Instagram. So if you miss some updates, check the blog at the end of the month. But you you prefer instant updates, my Instagram would be the place for you. :)

I wasn't sure how I wanted to organize my updates. So I've decided to separate it into the products I used for more than half the month, the products I got use in fewer than half the month, and the ones I didn't use at all. At the end, I'll show the ones I had to swap out for whatever reason and the ones I hit my goal.
bareMinerals, benefit, Colourpop, de-stashing project, Dr. Jart, eye, face, Innisfree, L'Oreal, LipFusion, lips, maybelline, murad, NARS, NYX, Project Pan, revlon, tarte, ulta, YSL,

PROJECT PAN | A to Z 2018 Intro

PROJECT PAN | A to Z 2018 Intro

If you've been following my Instagram, you'll know that I've started my first official Project Pan: A to Z Pan. I've been following panning accounts for so long and decided it's time I try my hand at this. My collection has gotten out of control and I think this will help me focus on using up items. This is just a fun format for those of us who get overwhelmed by our own massive collections *raises hand*. I've picked 26 items to coordinate with each letter of the alphabet.

While this is meant to be a year-long project, I didn't post an update in January because I had started halfway into the month. So, this intro post is much more appropriate while I wait to post my first update at the end of February. Side note, while my blog is meant to feature only cruelty-free items, I wanted to include non-cruelty free items in this project just so I can focus on moving them out of my collection. I won't be repurchasing anything that is not cruelty-free and will clearly indicate those in the ensuing makeup bios.

This is a long post so I would suggest you get comfortable, LOL. Let's jump into the items and my goals for the year!

BLOGMAS | Day 10: Charlotte Tilbury vs Revlon Lipsticks

charlotte tilbury kissing lipstick in stoned rose, revlon super lustrous lipstick in rose velvet review swatches dupe

{AT A GLANCE}

As a creature of habit, I end up with many similar looking colors. So I wasn't too surprised to see that I have two iterations of this browny reddish color: Charlotte Tilbury KISSING Lipstick in Stoned Rose (CF) and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet

EMPTIES | August 2016

august 2016 monthly empties, makeup, skincare, body care
August was a productive month for me as I finally tackled my collection. I went through every item, tossing the bad stuff and organizing the pretties that was still useable. I've been documenting my progress through my Destashing Project, so click on the link to see what makeup I'm keeping and which I'm saying goodbye to. I didn't finish every item in here but most of them have gone bad so I want to clear them out. So without further ado, let's get into the products!

FOTD | Quick & Easy Back to School Makeup

FOTD | Quick & Easy Back to School Makeup
I'm writing this while waiting for my first class of the semester to start, so excuse the spelling mistakes, hehe. I'm sure many of you can empathize with me on first day jitters. I can never get a good night's sleep before an important event so I'm dealing with dark circles, watery eyes and lackluster skin. Waking up in the morning isn't a struggle for me but I can be sluggish. Doing my makeup gives my brain to wake up as well as giving me a confidence boost. Because I'm quite slow in the mornings, I decided to do a bare basics look and time myself. But I also wanted to see how long it would take me if I added a few things here and there for a complete look, which lately is turning into my fancy face, haha.

So I'll be walking y'all through my bare basics look and my fancy face to give you some ideas and tips. If you aren't going back to school, lucky you! This'll still work for work or any other occasion in which you just want the bare necessities and don't want to be faffing about with a billion brushes.

EMPTIES | July 2016

june product empties 2016, cvs makeup towelettes, elf eyelash curler replacement pads, murad oil-control mattifier spf 15, etude house drawing eye brow, revlon photoready eye brightener + primer, bbia auto gel eyeliner, earth therapeutics hand remedy conditioner, sally hansen anti-chip acrylic top coat, tom's of maine antiplaque and whitening toothpaste reviews
I posted a June Empties a couple of posts back but I wanted to be on time, so here's another one! I have tons of stuff on its last legs so August will probably be busy too. Do you ever run out of things at the same time? That happens often for me, haha. So let's talk about the nine products I finished up this month!

BEAUTY ROUND-UP | June 2016: The Throwback Edition

june monthly favorites 2016, benefit high beam, make up for ever hd foundation 120 Y245 soft sand, bobbi brown skin foundation stick 2.5 warm sand, revlon photoready concealer light medium, nyx proof it waterproof mascara top coat, tarte smooth operator amazonian clay setting powder, bareminerals flawless face brush reviews
It's that time of time of the month when I share about all the products I've liked these past few months. I call this the throw back edition because they're all products I've had for a while. Pulling them out for the Great Purge (a destashing project where I go through my entire collection to use up all my non-CF products) reminded me how much I love them. I am going cruelty-free so most of these will not be repurchased but I'll still talk about them while  I have them. Without further ado, let's get into the products!

FOTD | Current Foundation Routine

current foundation routine using itcosmetics your skin but better cc cream spf 50+ in light, tarte maracuja creaseless concealer in light medium, bareminerals ready bronzer in skinny dip, revlon lip butter in sweet tart
I'm a creature of habit so when I find something that works for me, I stick with it. Also, finding a great color match makes it difficult for me to use just one product for foundation. Since discovering this gem, I have finally found a cruelty-free option that I can sing the praises from the rooftops! I don't like to jump on trendy products as much as I used to, so it's taken me a long time to finally give the itCosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream a try. And my goodness, why was I ever so hesitant?? This is seriously HG material. But I'll save all the gushing for a later review; let's just get into my current foundation routine that I've been enjoying for the past 2 months.

BEAUTY REVIEW | June & July 2015 ♥

Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion, Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation, Revlon PhotoReady Eye Primer + Brightener, Smashbox Blemish Control Primer, Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Hawaiian Smoulder, BareMinerals Ready Bronzer in Skinny Dip, and bareMinerals Mineral Veil reviews and swatches
Hello everyone! I'm a bit behind on my blogging schedule so you're getting a triple feature today--yay! I know you can't get enough of me, ha ha. Joking aside, I know we're well into August now but since I have no wishes to combine three months into one post, you'll get one now and another at the end of the month! If you're unfamiliar with my Beauty Reviews, I basically talk about most of the products I've been using in the past month--the good, the bad, and the ugly. Some are new discoveries, some are old so yeah, it's one big ol' review since I don't always have a lot to say about certain products (shocker, I know). So with that intro, let's get on with the show!

the body shop camomile waterproof eyemakeup remover, dkny be delicious eau de parfum, josie maran argan cleansing oil, the body shop smoky poppy shower gel, the body shop atlas rose body butter, simple cleansing facial wipes review, june july empties
First off, I'd like to apologize for the blurry photos. I was in a rush to get these pictures because I had a family commitment to attend. When I got back, my mom had already tossed my trash. T_T Why does mom have to be so diligent??? Anyhoo, I'm sure you'll still want to know about the products so I'll just get on with it...

Hello everyone! I'm back with another FOTD and this time, I wanted the focus to be on affordable makeup. FOTD | Spring Beauty

drugstore makeup look, spring makeup look, lightweight makeup, maybelline color whisper rose elixir, tarte gifted mascara, etude house drawing eyebrow, benefit high beam fakeup concealer medium, skinfood dark circle salmon concealer cream in 02 beige, tarte cheek stain in flush, rimmel provocalips in i'll call you
Spring is my second favorite season because I love rainy days. My friends think I'm crazy but I love the cozy feeling of being indoors, curled up with a huge blanket and sipping on some warm tea or chocolate, listening to the pitter pattering of raindrops on my window. Since there's a lot of rain, the humidity makes makeup feel heavier than usual and can make mascara run. I have two looks that I've been wearing a whole ton this season. I'll walk you through the products for each look below!

EMPTIES | April 2015 ♥

It's that time of the month where I share what items I finished up. April was particularly slow for me but I went through 15 items! A lot of them are even full sized #proud. We'll start with makeup since this is a makeup blog after all ;) May is probably going to be a slower month since I'm currently focused on finals and such but we'll see.

FOTD | Naked and Exposed: The Valentine's Day Special

I'm (perversely?) satisfied with my title, haha. 50 Shades of Grey has been on my mind lately as the movie hit theaters this past Valentine's Day weekend here in the States. With everyone on my social media feeds talking about it and extensive PR, I couldn't avoid it--if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! My friends and I planned on going to see it but as I wasn't feeling well, we settled on dinner and movies at home instead. So grateful for friends that are willing to change up their plans for little ol' me at the last minute--thanks y'all!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette Makeup, Valentine's Day makeup
I've been a bit under the weather lately so blog posts have been scarce around here. I actually tried this look out a week ago so that I could post it as a Valentine's Day look but we all know how that turned out (╥︣﹏᷅╥) Anyhoo, no use crying over spilt milk so let's get on with the show! It's not exactly a tutorial but hopefully my explanations will help you see how I created this look :D

REVIEW | Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush

REVIEW swatchesRevlon PhotoReady Cream Blush, flushed, pinched, coral reef, berry flirtatious
It's been a hot minute since I last blogged! I just wanted to spend the last few days of break with my friends and family. The Spring semester has just started for me so excuse my lack of updates. Now that I'm more settled, expect to catch a couple more posts before the end of the week :D I'll go back to my regular posting schedule (Mon & Fri) once I catch up with everything!

Onto the actual product now! I'm reviewing the Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush and the Revlon Cream Blush in Berry Flirtatious. These blushes were created to mimic the glowing skin of a beach beauty, what I really need right now since it's the dead of winter. This blush also claims to be creamy, buildable, lightweight, with a smooth application. Apparently, there are photochromatic pigments that bend and reflect light to provide cheeks with a beautiful glow. Let's see which of these claims ring true. *ominous organ music plays*

FAVORITES┊ ❆ Winter 2014: Beauty Edition ❆

winter lipstick, reds, nudes, pinks
Winter is coming and so are the holidays! I'm so excited and have been shopping like mad to get all my gifts for everyone. Online shopping is a savior for me because it's much quicker to grab a bunch of things for everyone and the deals are insane! Anyhoo, we're here to talk about beauty so let's jump into my picks for this winter!

HAUL + FIRST IMPRESSIONS | Wet n Wild, Maybelline, and Revlon: eyes + lips!

wet n wild coloricon eyeshadow trio, I'm Getting Sunburned, Silent Treatment, Sweet as Candy, and I'm Walking on Eggshells
From left to right: I'm Getting Sunburned, Silent Treatment, Sweet as Candy, and I'm Walking on Eggshells

This haul was from a couple of weeks ago but I've only gotten around to editing photos and my thoughts now--very sorry for the delay. All of the items are eyeshadows and lipsticks from the drugstore, so if you need a cheap thrill or want to breathe new life into your collection, keep on reading!

I even added in some Lorac Pro/ Pro 2/ Unzipped Palettes dupes to make up for the long wait. ;) As always, are swatches are done with no primer of any sort on clean skin with my clean fingers so the gloriness of the swatches are due to the majesticness of the products themselves! Lipsticks were done with one swipe--two for clean up :D

FOTD┊I'm "Fall"-ing for You: Autumn Bridal Makeup with Lover.ly!

Autumn Bridal Makeup TUTORIAL┊I'm "Fall"-ing for You: Autumn Bridal Makeup w/ Lover.ly!
I'm a bit too young to be thinking about this but in an effort to provide diverse content on my blog, I present to you all an autumnal bridal makeup tutorial, "I'm 'FALL''-ing for You"!. Since we're beginning fall here in the Northern Hemisphere, I wanted to incorporate a lot of gold and copper to mimic the colors leave turn in fall. It's a bit metallic and shimmery but a matte look wasn't something I would personally want on my big day. Anyhoo, let's hop onto the tutorial!
