EMPTIES | January to March 2019 Makeup Empties & Declutters

Hello internet! It's been a very long time since my last post (July 2018!) but to be fair, I haven't been blogging consistently for a couple years now. Life has been hectic for me, both good and bad. But I think I'll save that for another post because I've been saving all these beauty empties for months! It's definitely time to jot down my thoughts on these items and find a good way to recycle them. Here's a quick glance at all the makeup I used up from January to March of this year:
Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer (not CF) $23 usd for 0.52 oz-- Milani Brow Shaping Clear Gel (CF) discontinued -- Etude House Drawing Eye Brow (not CF) $3.50usd for 0.008oz -- Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil (not CF) $24 usd for 0.01oz/0.003oz -- e.l.f. There's just so many products to talk about so I'm dividing the posts into makeup, skincare, and finally hair and body. I threw in my declutters at the end of this blog post since most of them were makeup, sadly.

DE-STASHING PROJECT | Going Cruelty Free: Face Edition

Here's the next installment of my Going Cruelty Free De-Stashing Project: the Face Edition. If you aren't all caught up, that's cool, life's busy. The long and short of it is that I've decided to go cruelty-free. I'm starting off with my makeup because that's the easiest for me but then I'd like to sort through my skincare and haircare products as well.

Note that these are mostly my non-cruelty free items with a few cruelty free items thrown in here because I have extra or just didn't care for them right off the bat. Eventually, I want to whittle down my cruelty-free stuff and develop a capsule makeup collection, if you will. So, let's start since I have a ton of products to go through!

REVIEW | Tarte Color Your World With Shades of Clay June 2014 (2nd Installment)

Let me preface by saying Tarte is one of my most favorite brands. The attention to cruelty free and natural ingredients really makes it stand out as an Earth-conscious brand. The Tarte Color Your World with Shades of Clay Collection is part of a 3 piece set from QVC that was available for auto-ship a couple of months ago. As far as I'm aware, the items in this kit, like the foundation, eyeliner, and blush are exclusive to this kit. The primer, finishing powder, lip gloss, and mascara are part of their current line up.

The collection is built around the multitasking benefits of Amazonian colored clay. This 7 piece set contains all the products you'll need for a naturally flushed look. Finish off all your hard work with the  Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. The Amazonian Color Clay Bronzer Blush in Peach Bronze will add a healthy glow and flush.  Eyes are the windows to the soul and the Amazonian Colored Clay Eyeliner in Espresso and the Lights Camera, Lashes 4 in 1 Mascara will frame those peepers to perfection. Finishing off your look, the Lipsurgence Lip Gloss in Flushed will add a pinky tint to your gorgeous pucker. All of these wonderful finds are encased in a large coral makeup bag.

REVIEW | Benefit Primping with the Stars

So this one is going to be quick and short (hopefully) as I've been writing a ton for my other posts. I still have a couple of posts I need to catch up on, dealing with hair and how I manage mine, but I just wanted to take a break and go back to my first love: makeup. Benefit is one of my favorite makeup brands ever and I love the kits they do as you get to try out a lot of their most popular products for a reasonable price. The Primping with the Stars kit comes in an adorable packaging with 6 deluxe size products for your face, eyes, and lips.

FAVORITES | March 2014 ♡

This month, I didn't wear too much makeup because my skin was just not in a good place.  I was breaking out all over my chin and upper mouth/under my nose region, which wasn't pretty. Needless to say, I really focused on my skincare this past month and my skin has improved somewhat. I have a couple of products to show you, makeup-, skincare- and nail-wise, so let's jump right in!

MAKEUP

elf powder brush, real techniques buffer brush, essie nail polish, makeup forever hd foundation, makeup forever concealer, urban decay primer potion, revlon brow fantasy, benefit porefessional, lancome star hypnose mascara

REVIEW | Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15

Hello Everyone! Even though it's well into the autumn season, my skin still produces so much oil >.< If someone could just tell my skin to calm down and just be normal, that would be great. In the meantime, I've been using the Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 in an attempt to control my oiliness!
