REVIEW| Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream

Day 3 of Makeup With a Heart ♡ ! I've been on the lookout for a good dark circle concealer for ages! Some don't cover them up well enough, others are too thick or too drying, or are too glittery. But, I think I've fallen in love with the Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream ❤ It comes in two shades: 01 Salmon Blooming and 02 Salmon Beige (which I have). I have had this product for a week and used it everyday.

Shade 02 Salmon Beige

It matches my skin tone very well and covers amazingly. Truth be told, I don't have the worst dark circles ever, but when I don't get enough sleep the night before, I get a little haggard-looking. It brightens my undereye area without looking glittery or shimmery. It is creamy, like its name, but it doesn't slip and slide around my undereyes or feel greasy and heavy. I do set it with powder just to be on the safe side. It doesn't dry out my undereyes or accentuate any fine lines I have there like others I've tried. I don't need to put eye cream first to prep my skin, which saves me time when I'm getting ready in the morning.

I just use my clean ring finger to gently dab a little bit on the dark circle and it blends in seamlessly.  Sometimes, I just wear this alone with a little bit of powder on days that I don't want to wear a lot of makeup. They say you can put it over foundation as well; I usually don't bring my foundation up to my eyes but where this product meets my foundation, there isn't a harsh line or color contrast.

[Review] Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream salmon beigeYou get a decent amount of product for the price (.35 oz/ 10 g). The packaging is simple but a bit bulky. There's a lot of extra plastic on the bottom but I guess it won't be so easily broken. The container itself is plastic and the screw-on lid is aluminum.

The only con is that since it comes in only two shades, it will only cater to a very limited audience. I'm a medium skintone so any darker than me and it might not work as well. However, if you are a fair or light skintone, the 01 Salmon Blooming might be a better fit. That's a problem I find in a lot of Korean makeup products.

I bought mine for $9.37 at Koreadepart.com. The swatch online is very light. The one on my blog is more true to its color (I took with natural lighting). Skinfood does have counters worldwide. You can follow this link to find them near you: Skinfood Website.

Bottom line: I'd definitely recommend trying out this product if you haven't found a dark circle concealer that works and are a fair to medium/tan skintone!

XOXO,
MWAH ♥
