EMPTIES | February 2017

So I don't remember which month I finished all the products but I'm going to go in order to keep a semblance of order. I'm slowly working through all the photos I have so bear with me as I catch up. Besides that little hiccup, let's get into the products I'd repurchase and which ones I'd pass.

MAKEUP

MEMEBOX Perfect Waterproof Soft Gel Eyeliner in Moonstone: Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil: IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara: MUFE Full Cover Concealer in 7 Sand: Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light, February 2017 Makeup Empties
MEMEBOX Perfect Waterproof Soft Gel Eyeliner in Moonstone (CF status unknown): I got this in a subscription box and it was one of the better eyeliners I've tried. As convenient as twist-up eyeliners are, I hate how they dry out so quickly. I used up most of this but the very last half-inch or so was so dry that I didn't want to keep tugging at my eyelids. It was a nice sparkly warm brown and while it wasn't completely budge-proof, it wasn't a mess all over either. I have yet to find a completely smudge-proof, water-resistant eyeliner but there are several in my collection that I have yet to try.
Bottom Line: Will not repurchase

Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Pencil (not CF): I've featured it in my July 2016 Empties and my thoughts haven't changed. The packaging isn't the best but I don't mind because the spoolie works and the color is spot-on for me. Wish it was cruelty-free though.
Bottom Line: Would repurchase if it was CF.

IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara (CF): I love this mascara! Though it can get clumpy on my short and wispy lashes, it's water-resistant yet easy to remove. If I'm super tired and yawning a lot, I will get slight smudging but otherwise, I stay panda eye-free. I am planning a review for this so I'll save my in-depth thoughts for that post.
Bottom Line: Already have a full size back-up!

MUFE Full Cover Concealer in 7 Sand: MUFE makes my old favorite foundation and this concealer was no different. However, MUFE is not cruelty-free so I've had to move on. This one developed a weird black spot on the inside of the tube so I think it's gone off. I like these highly pigmented concealers in a tube because I can apply a concentrated amount to my trouble spots or sheer it out with liquid highlighter or lotion as needed. Also, I'm much lighter than I used to be so this one wasn't a good match even for my summer skin tone. Sad to see it go but there's tons of concealers I have yet to try.
Bottom Line: Would repurchase in a lighter color if it was CF.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Light: This is my perfect concealer. The formula isn't thick but provides enough coverage for my undereyes and spots. I never experience cakiness nor oxidation with the concealer and the color match is spot on. It wasn't hard to get to the remaining product once I removed the stopper and used a tiny brush. However, Maybelline isn't cruelty-free so I'm back to the drawing board for a good CF concealer.
Bottom Line: Would repurchase if it was CF.
Paula's Choice CLEAR Regular Strength Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid: Paula's Choice CLEAR Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide: Batiste Dry Shampoo in Bare: Etude House AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Water: Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT reviews, february 2017 hair, skin and body empties
Paula's Choice CLEAR Regular Strength Anti-Redness Exfoliating Solution with 2% Salicylic Acid (CF): This is a staple product in my collection. I cannot go without this as my skin freaks out and breaks out. With regular use, my skin is glowing and smooth, my pores are nonexistent, and breakouts are far and few in between. Really, I cannot imagine life without this product and will continue to repurchase forever!
Bottom Line: If it wasn't clear, I have two bottles on their last legs and a back up waiting for me!

Paula's Choice CLEAR Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment with 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide (CF): I like this smaller version because I actually finish it before it goes off. I'm currently using the regular size because there was a deal on the set at the time I purchased it. This one is so gentle compared to anything I've used from Neutrogena and Murad; I rarely experience stinging and its usually because I applied it over an open spot.
Bottom Line: Would repurchase!

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Bare (CF status unclear): This one is a good scent because it's softer than the other scents. I dislike anything warm, musky or sweet. The smell still is overpowering and I do not use perfume when I use this. However, I'm going to look for something not so heavily scented because I don't want to potentially give anyone a headache.
Bottom Line: Would repurchase if they came out with an unscented version! It has since come to my attention that Batiste may not be cruelty-free. I'll be looking into it since I have more of these empties to write about so I will post an update soon.

Etude House AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Water (not CF): I didn't notice a difference when using this product so I combined it with my Pink Powder Spot. I think it may have reduced the efficacy of the Pink Powder spot because my blemishes are still there in the morning. I wish I could buy another one of those Pink Powder Spots but as they are not CF, we will have to try one by another brand.
Bottom Line: Will not repurchase.

Narciso Rodriguez for Her EDT (not CF): This scent makes me feel so glamorous and sexy! Looking at the notes of the EDT on Macy's website, it is mainly floral, amber, and musky, which I didn't expect to like. I do love the initial scent and as the day goes on, it  gets this lovely sexy aroma. Definitely a memorable one for me.
Bottom Line: Will not repurchase because they are not CF.

So that is all the products I used up in February 2017! I have a huge backlog to catch up with but lately, I've been feeling inspired again and want to ride out this blogging high while I can! Let me know if there's other content you enjoy reading and I will try to incorporate it into my blog.

What have you been enjoying lately?

XOXO,
Cindy ♥
