korean makeup haul, sleek eyeshadow palettes
Ignore the mask! I ended up returning it >____<

Hello everyone! I'm trying to catch up on my blog posts so you'll see a lot of them coming this weekend! I just uploaded my review on the Stila Perfect & Correct Foundation so please check it out if you're on the hunt for a new one. :) This haul was mainly done on beautynetkorea.com when they were having a sale on Etude House, Innisfree, and Holika Holika items so I definitely took advantage of that!

innisfree no sebum mineral pact, innisfree eco fruit tint in cherry

So I lost my favorite Benetint when I went home last winter and I was devastated. Since I didn't want to shell out for a replacement, I've been looking for dupes. Korean makeup brands have tons of lip tints so I thought I could find one there. This one is the first one I've tried called Innisfree Eco Fruit Tint in 01 Cherry. I really like the color and scent. I'm planning to do a review on it soon so hold on! *update 03/05/14: Review is right here!*

innisfree no sebum mineral pact

So the Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Pact is a very popular product among Korean beauty gurus, piquing my interest in this powder. It comes in two forms: loose powder and pact. I went with the pact, even though it cost more, because I don't like the messiness of loose powder. This pact is more portable and comes with a mirror. It's a translucent powder which is nice since it doesn't alter the color of your base makeup underneath. I have been using this powder a lot since I got it and it does mattify my face for a long time.

holika holika oil queen cotton pact, soda bb deep pore cleasning oil

I also picked up two items from Holika Holika. They make some of the cutest blushes ever (you can see swatches of them here) and so I decided to pick up some things. The Soda Pore BB Deep Cleansing Oil was raved about by Ouiseau88 on Youtube so I decided to give it a try. I'm having a lot of trouble with pimples that are stuck under the skin, taking a very long time to come to the surface and develop a head, making my skin look really bumpy. I've tried a lot of masks and stuff and nothing seems to work. I gave this a try once already and didn't really see a difference T___T. The ones that had come to a head and stuff did come out faster but the ones that were stuck still stayed under. It might be that the other ones are really stuck. I'm going to give it another try tonight to see how it'll go.

The other item I picked up is the Oil Queen Cotton Pact SPF 30/PA ++. It is basically a translucent pressed powder. I was intrigued because it contains SPF. I know that I probably don't apply enough of the powder to get the most out of the SPF but I always apply a moisturizer and foundation with SPF to make sure I get SPF all over my face (and neck!) I haven't tried this powder compact yet because I'm using the Innisfree one but I'll have a comparison review of all 3 that I picked up soon!

etude house haul

Etude House has got to be my favorite Korean makeup brand because the packaging is just sooooo cute! It's super girly and fun and it's so fun when I look at it on my table. I heard about the Kissful Tint Choux from Bubzbeauty and since it was one of her top 3 lip tints, I decided to try it. I have mine in No. 1 Red Choux. From the swatch on the website, I thought it would be a nice cherry red color but when I tried it on my lips, it's more of a pink color than anything! It's still a pretty color but it isn't the color I expected. I really like the texture and everything and would like to get some of the other colors as well. I'm still on the hunt for a nice, cherry red color so if you know of any, let me know! I have a review post right here if you're interested.

I also picked up two Drawing Eye Brow pencils in shades 01 Black Brown and 02 Gray Brown. I have really dark brown hair so finding a pencil that isn't straight up black or too warm is a bit of a challenge. I've been avoiding doing my brows because the drugstore pencils are just too warm for my liking. I have tried using powders and gels but it's kind of a hassle; pencils are just easier and faster for me. I was so glad that Etude House offers a lot of darker brow colors and so I picked up two because I really wanted to make sure I had the right color. The cool feature on beautynetkorea.com is that they have an option where you can pick two colors of the same product for a cheaper price than if you bought them separately, which is what I have done. If you rather just buy one, you can also do that here. These pencils also have refills that you can buy so that you don't have to waste as much plastic, which is always a nous in my book!

I've been using the shade 02 Gray Brown and find it to be an exact color for my brows. I know some people recommend that if you have dark brows, go one or two shades lighter but for some reason, it doesn't look natural on me. I have really sparse brows and so I have to fill them in quite a bit so if the pencil is too light, it definitely shows that my brows are filled in and not natural. Obviously, if I'm using makeup it isn't natural but I still like for it to look as if I have nice brows naturally.

As you all know, the Etude House AC Clinic Pink Powder Spot is one of my favorite spot treatments ever! I have a first impressions post on this blog from a while back that you should check out if you wanted to know more about it. Without repeating myself too much, I really love it for when I really need to get rid of my pimples quickly--cannot live without this product!

etude house dear girls oil control pact

I'm a bit obsessive with my powders as I am pretty oily in my t-zone. It's winter right now so I don't have to be as crazy with my powder but this one looked too cute to pass up! Again, it's just another translucent powder but the Dear Girls Oil Control Pact packaging is adorable! (✿◠‿◠)

I've heard so much about Sleek Makeup that I finally caved and ordered some items. I picked up three different I-Divine palettes, which was very hard for me to do since I really liked the look of all of them! I actually ordered these from Amazon, but you can also find them on the official Sleek Makeup website if you are outside of Europe/England. Some of the palettes cannot be shipped to the US due to restrictions so if you can find them on Amazon, grab them!

sleek i-divine palette in vintage romance
Vintage Romance
This palette really called out to me with all the warm plums and golds. I have a thing with warm eyeshadows because they really compliment my warm undertone. Vintage Romance^ is pretty much all shimmery shades, with 3 glittery and one matte brown. I haven't played with this palette yet but I'm getting a smokey plum vibe from this palette. ≧◔◡◔≦

sleek i-divine eyeshadow palette in oh so special
Oh So Special
Oh So Special^ really enticed me because it has a lot of warm pinks and browns, which are some of my favorite eyeshadow combos. Pink eyeshadow is a nice break from all the brown and natural colors I wear. It's hard to find a pink that isn't too warm that it makes my eyes look sick but isn't cool toned because those just do not do anything for my complexion lol. There's 7 mattes and 5 shimmery shades, which is perfect. Two of the two peachy pinks are kind of similar except one looks more vibrant. I don't really mind because I can use the lighter one to blend out the more intense one.

sleek i-divine eyeshadow palette in storm
Storm

Storm^ is a really pretty palette with 3 mattes and 9 shimmery metallic finishes. I like that it has mostly neutral colors with some darker navy blue, forest green, and burgundy for variation. I'm definitely going to try to do an EOTD with this very soon so keep on the lookout!

MWAH Musings ♡

  • It's been raining a lot and I can't even do laundry T___T

  • I'm on the lookout for a new dry shampoo without a strong scent--I picked up PSST! Dry Shampoo but I haven't tried it out yet...
  • I have winged eyeliner on today and everyone is like "≧☉_☉≦" or "≧◉◡◉≦". What do y'all think? :) *Bonus FOTD*

sephora lorac pro to go kit fotd
I used the Lorac Pro To Go Kit from Sephora--was on sale for $28 do I grabbed it! I also used Etude House Drawing Eyebrow in 02 for my brows. The eyeliner was Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Sinner. My lipstick is the Maybelline Vivids Lipstick in Electric Orange (though it doesn't look that vibrant in this picture for some reason...)

So this concludes another post from me. I'm going to work on my February Favorites right now so I'll be caught up soon. I will try to review all the products in this haul over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!

XOXO,
MWAH ♡
