REVIEW | Innisfree Eco Fruit Tint

I'm on a bit of a lip tint craze right now so I'm here to present to you another one that I've been trying out lately--the Innisfree Eco Fruit Tint! It has raspberry and orange extract to give you long lasting, vibrant color. This tint comes in two colors: 01 Cherry and 02 Orange. Today, I'll be reviewing the shade 01 Cherry. Read on to see what I think about it!

Application

I say application was mediocre. The applicator was a doe foot want but it was pretty stiff and hard. It spread the color well enough. However, my top lip, for some reason, didn't get even coverage. The center of my top lip seemed bare compared to the rest of the top lip so I went over it another time, focusing on the inner top lip. Try to let it dry before you press your lips together to prevent that from happening. Luckily, this tint dries fast.

If you want a sheerer look, I recommend dabbing two dots on your top and two dots on your bottom, and then spread it out. As you can see, the color is pretty pigmented!

Likes

The pigmentation of this tint is pretty good! For something so watery, I expected it to be sheer. Imagine my surprise when I got pretty good coverage with just one swipe. I make sure to remove some of the product by pressing/wiping the tip off with the neck of the bottle (if that makes sense) so I can get a sheerer look.

It didn't dry out my lips but there isn't any added moisture, like the Etude House Kissful Tint Choux. I can layer lip balm over this with no problems, so it's fine with me.

I was expecting a crimson  color from this tint, which I do get but if you layer the product two or three times, you get a deeper, vivid burgundy color so depending on how many layers you apply you can achieve multiple looks.

The scent was really strong when I first opened it up; either my nose has gotten used to it or the scent has faded a bit, which can be a good thing or bad thing. It reminds me of this cherry popsicle that I used to eat when I was a kid that coincidentally, also stained my lips this color. ≧☉_☉≦

Dislikes

My biggest problem with this stain is that it doesn't last very long if you eat. I applied it this morning, letting it dry for about 15 minutes while I made breakfast. I had a peanut butter sandwich (no jam!) and some water. I didn't check after I had eaten to see how it wore but by the end of my lab (4 hours later) the tint had worn off considerably, showing my natural lip color underneath. Now if you thought that was bad, it didn't even wear off evenly! The inner side of my lips had completely worn away and I had this red ring on the outer parts of my lips, looking like I had lined my lips but forgot to fill them in. ᕙ(`皿´)╯So embarrassing because I was working and talking to my lab partner (who didn't say anything, thankfully). I don't think the lasting power for this stain is all that great because all I had was a sandwich and some water but it completely wore away towards the inner part of my lips.

I reapplied it and then had lunch (which consisted of another sandwich (what can I say, I love me my sandwiches!) and I found that it wore away again in the inner parts of my lips, just like before.

Bottom Line

I was really excited when I first got this tint but I think I'd say to pass on this. The color, texture, price, and packaging is great but lasting power is just so-so. Now I wouldn't mind if it wore away completely or evenly, but it wears off kind of patchy and that's just awkward. I'm pretty busy throughout the day and don't really have time to touch up my makeup so I don't think this lip tint is for me. If you would still like to try it out, you can find yours on eBay or beautynetkorea.com

  3. Well tints are used for gradiation lips? I hope i spell that right. Most korean uses tints for the lower lips so that it will create a younger and youthful look. If you're looking for a Korean lipsitck, lip tint or something :)) i'd recommend lumipang from pereipera ;)
