PROJECT PAN | A to Z 2018: Second Quarter Update

N is for NARS Blush in Orgasm (not CF) -- O is for Maybelline Color Whisper in Orange Attitude (not CF) -- R is for Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow (not CF), H is for Benefit High Beam (not CF) — M is for Maybelline ExpertWear Quad in Chai Latte "Crease" (not CF) -- V is for Urban Decay VICE Lipstick in Liar (CF), L'Oreal Amber Rush, L'Oreal Enduring Rose, Benefit Gimme Brow Pencil, Colourpop Konnichiwa, Holika Holika Plum liner, Queen Helene Mint Julep Masl, NYX Jumbo Pencil iin Cottages Cheese, A to Z Project Pan
Hi all! I'm back for another A to Z Project Pan update. I meant to do monthly updates but since I'm making slower progress than I thought, I decided to do quarterly updates instead. Hopefully, it's not boring since there will be better progress pics. Since my last update, I finished three products and rotated in three new ones! Read on to find out which ones they are ;).

PRODUCTS I DIDN'T USE

L'Oreal Amber Rush, L'Oreal Enduring Rose, Benefit Gimme Brow Pencil, Colourpop Konnichiwa, Holika Holika Plum liner, Queen Helene Mint Julep Masl, NYX Jumbo Pencil iin Cottages Cheese, A to Z Project Pan
A is for L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush (not CF) -- I dislike waking up early to do my makeup but I think I'll have to start doing so. I think I used this once so far and the year is half over!

E is for L'Oreal Infallible Crayon in Enduring Rose (not CF) -- Again, maybe used this once or twice since the last update. Will stat using it tomorrow!

G is for Benefit Gimme Brow Pencil (not CF) -- I cycled in a new brow pencil so this one is relegated to the back-burner again. I'm not a fan of precision tips because I need to significantly draw in pseudo-brows and prefer a quick and easy type of doo-dad.

K is for Colourpop Lippie Stix in Konichiwa (CF) -- This is a lovely pinky-mauve on me and works for a day at the office. The cute cap makes it easy to spot if you have tons of these so I need to chuck this into my purse.

P is for Holika Holika Eyeliner in Black Plum (not CF) -- Again, not big on eye makeup lately. Just doing skin makes me looks fresh and youthful but I will try to at least get some use out of this.

Q is for Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask (CF) -- Haven't even masked once since starting this project so as I wash my brushes tonight, I will be masking.

X is for NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cottage Cheese (CF) -- I used to be a fan of these pencils but they don't last on my oily lids. Will be switching it up as an inner corner highlight!

PRODUCTS THAT FELL OFF THE BANDWAGON

H is for Benefit High Beam (not CF) — M is for Maybelline ExpertWear Quad in Chai Latte "Crease" (not CF) -- V is for Urban Decay VICE Lipstick in Liar (CF) , Project Pan
H is for Benefit High Beam (not CF) — It doesn't really change the color of the foundation but it gives my skin a slight glow. This used to be one of my favorites for highlighting but I prefer something more bling bling these days. My current foundation is already glowy so I'll probably need to swap it out so I can get use out of the High Beam.

M is for Maybelline ExpertWear Quad in Chai Latte "Crease" (not CF) -- I was diligent with this as my brow powder (look at the dip!) but I haven't made much progress since then. My current brow pencil is quite warm so this adds some coolness to balance things out.

V is for Urban Decay VICE Lipstick in Liar (CF) — Just realized that this is actually from the Full Frontal line that was discontinued in favor of the VICE lipsticks...I'm still going to use it up but this time, actually check to make sure I have the right replacement #BloggerFail.

PRODUCTS I WANT TO USE MORE

N is for NARS Blush in Deep Throat (not CF) -- I completely dropped the ball and was using a blush that wasn't in this project so this one didn't get any loving at all.  It's such a compact size and with wedding season in full swing, it's the one I reach for when traveling.

O is for Maybelline Color Whisper in Orange Attitude (not CF) -- Orange lips used to be my jam but lately, I've been preferring a natural lip. Now that I've developed a tan, I'm loving this orange color on me. Will try to make the most of it this summer!

R is for Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow (not CF) -- Summer gives me a pass for glittery cheeks and so this one will be seeing more action soon! The gouge in the bottom color was actually a depotting accident and not wear--boo.

MOST USED PRODUCTS

Lipfusion full frontal, holika holika wonder brow, project pan, a to z project pan
F is for LipFusion InFATuation in Full Frontal (status unclear) -- Not a fan of gloss, but this color adds a nice pink tinge to my lips that still looks natural. I get the most wear out of this at work because no wind means no hair getting caught on my lips. I don't like the minty tingle but I don't feel it as strongly as before.

W is for Holika Holika Wonder Brow (not CF) -- I'm not sure what color this is but it's too warm for my tastes. In natural daylight, it doesn't look off but in cooler lighting, it's quite noticeable. I like the teardrop tip because it's quick and easy to fill in my nonexistent brows.
B is for Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Powder Foundation in "Honey" , a to z project pan
B is for Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Powder Foundation in "Honey" (not CF) -- I am most proud of this one! I do use powder every day, especially for setting my undereyes and around my nose. It does darken my undereyes a slight bit but in natural daylight, it's not noticeable. Since it's a powder foundation, it does add a slight bit of coverage so I don't have to go in with a second layer of foundation. I don't notice a significant difference in wear or longevity but it does reduce shine where I don't want it. I'm hoping it'll be gone by the third quarter update!

benefit coralista blush, a to z project pan
C is for Benefit Coralista Blush (not CF) — Every blogger used to rave about this and I couldn't see the hype TBH. It felt like there was hard pan but once I got deeper into the product, I don't need to swirl too much to get color. This one is a pretty peachy blush with some shimmer that gives me a freshfaced look. I mainly used this during the first three months and stopped and used a wrong blush gah. I'm getting back into it now because this is perfect for summer. I've worn away the embossing and there's a slight dip on side. Hopefully, I can hit pan by the next update.

I is for Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact , project pan
I is for Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact (not CF) -- I don't know if it's just me but both the larger and smaller rings are visible, meaning pan is just over the horizon--or should I say, "under"? I'm getting more use out of it as the summer heat kicks up my sweat and oil glands into overdrive. I'm not a fan of this powder because it makes me look cakey and dry.

S is for Benefit Sugarbomb Blush, project pan
S is for Benefit Sugarbomb Blush (not CF) -- As previously mentioned, I like to mix this with Coralista. For some reason, I'm getting more wear out of the pink quadrant than the orange side. I've rotated the product to see if it was the way I was picking up product. Hopefully, things will start to even out.

T is for Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light Medium (CF) -- U is for Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original (CF), a to z project pan
T is for Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light Medium (CF) -- The writing has completely worn off but the more important thing is, how much I've used up! As I squeeze everything to the bottom, I have maybe a quarter of the tube left but to be fair, this had mostly air when I bought it. Regardless, I think this will be done by the end of this project :)

U is for Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original (CF) — This is the old squeeze tube so I know it has to go soon. I have about a third left and this was full when I bought it. I find that my eyeshadow creases towards the end of the day so I think it's losing it mojo. I'll still keep using it until I find it separating or if it irritates my eyes.

Y is for YSL Bouche Eclat Blur Primer (not CF), a to z project pan
Y is for YSL Bouche Eclat Blur Primer (not CF)— I'm very happy at this progress! After six months, this primer is about two-thirds finished. It's not my favorite primer and I do need something that controls oil and shine during this time of year but it doesn't ball up or cause unnecessary stickiness when I apply my foundation. I would like to review it once I finish it up.

Z is for Zit in Murad Acne Spot Fix (CF) , a to z project pan
Z is for Zit in Murad Acne Spot Fix (CF) -- Another one that I'm supremely happy about! It's a double-edged sword; while I'm happy to be almost done with this product, my skin hasn't been too good lately. It stung like hell in comparison to my favorite Paula's Choice but now it doesn't hurt so bad. I drew a green line where the product settles and it's right under the blue patch on the packaging. The color seems to have changed slightly so I think I need to get a move-on with this product.

GOALS MET

D is for DDFSkincare Amplifying Elixir (not CF) — D is for Dr. Jart+ Dis-A-Pore BB Cream (not CF), A to Z project pan
D is for DDFSkincare Amplifying Elixir (not CF) — My skin was going through a dry spell in the earlier months of the year so I was looking for a product to help combat it. This water-like serum really does help with dry, tight skin! I wasn't expecting much but it did wonders for my skin. However, when I forgot this step, my skin went back to being tight and flakey. I've found a much better product for keeping the flakes away and I can't wait to share it with you!

D is for Dr. Jart+ Dis-A-Pore BB Cream (not CF) — This product is making another round in my project because I could really use a product like this for summer. I think this is the last tube so I'll be a bit sad once it's gone. But for now, I have a fresh tube!

Dr. Jart+ Dis-A-Pore BB Cream, L'oreal Collection Privee in jennifer's nude, A to Z project pan
J is for Dr. Jart Dis-A-Pore (not CF) — This was too light and pinky for me to use on it's own but mixed with a moisturizer or foundation is the way to go. With a moisturizer, it sheers out enough that the color mismatch isn't noticeable. I don't struggle with large pores but it does mattify efficiently for no-makeup makeup days. I like to mix this with dewy foundations to tone things down and to color correct orangey foundations.

J is for L’Oreal Collection Privee in Jennifer’s Nude (not CF) — This is my J replacement. I reviewed this L'oreal lipstick in 2014 so it's high time I get use out of this. The color is a nude that doesn't wash me out too much. It looks better with a smokey or bold eye rather than a barely there look. Luckily, the smell and consistency hasn't changed so I'll continue using it.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Protect, LORAC Cosmetics POREfection Mattifying Face Primer, A to Z project Pan
L is for Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Protect (not CF) — This was actually expired but luckily, I didn't break out. If you're not a fan of silicone primers, this one has a moisturizer feel that did hydrate my skin. I have more tubes of this but I'm going to take a break for now.

L is for LORAC Cosmetics POREfection Mattifying Face Primer (status unclear) — I'm replacing it with another primer from LORAC. This one minimizes pore and mattifies the complexion. Since I don't have large pores, I'm mainly using this for mattifying. So far, I'm not really noticing an mattfying effect because my dewy foundation still looks dewy over this. I'm going to keep using it though since it does help my foundation from breaking up throughout the day.

And that's it for this update! As for the progress, I'm using 10 items consistently, I've rolled in 3 new ones, and I'm not getting use out of 13 items. I'm operating at 50% efficiency but I would like to pick it up. If you want quicker updates, follow my Instagram :)

P.S. By the time you're reading this, I'll have gotten my wisdom teeth out so wish me luck!

How do you remind yourself to use up your makeup?

XOXO,
Cindy ♥
