Luxury and designer beauty products are scary, scary worlds to jump into. The items are beautifully packaged and performance is impressive, luring in unsuspecting wallets. I've been pretty good at avoiding the counters (other than purchasing gifts for others, then I spare no luxury!) because I'm not ready to make that leap yet xD That having been said, the new Armani Eye Tints really drew me in and they got a great review on Temptalia. I feel naked without eyeshadow on because it evens out my lids. Hence, this seemed like a good choice for my first luxury purchase--and I am not disappointed!
REVIEW | Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet
Wednesday, April 29, 2015
Hello everyone! It's Hump Day which is actually my favorite day of the week. Something about being in the middle makes me feel comforted, haha. Anyhoo, I'm super excited to be discussing one of my new lippie favorites: the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets! They've been out since last year over in the UK but I just got my hands on them after an order was lost--can this be considered delayed gratification...no?
UNBOXING | Cinderella Memebox ðŸ‘
Sunday, April 26, 2015
While Cinderella wasn't one of my favorite Disney princesses to watch when I was younger, her themed Memebox is one of my favorites! Her box contains 7 full-sized products to make sure your face and hair is flawless for dancing the night away at the ball!
HAUL + REVIEW | British Beauty Invasion! featuring Boots, Rimmel, and Bourjois 🇬🇧
I've been following several British beauty bloggers for a while now and envied their access to brands I couldn't get here in the US. I know the US has several products that aren't available in other countries but as they say, "The grass is always greener on the other side." Fast forward a couple of years and brands like Rimmel, Bourjois and Boots can be found at my local drugstore or online so I picked up a few items that I've been wanting to try. Since this is a haul, I won't go into too much detail but I do have reviews already posted for some items and more reviews and swatches on the way!
REVIEW | Boots Stay Perfect Shade & Define
Friday, April 24, 2015
When it comes to makeup, I like things to be as easy and clean as possible. I dislike washing my brushes because it takes too long for the mto dry before I can use them again but I love playing with eyeshadows T_T. That's where these babies come in! The Boots N7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Crayons are soft, creamy and long wearing. They glide on my lids easily for an all over wash of color or a precise line to enhance my lashline.
UNBOXING | Tinkerbell Memebox ✨
I go through many phases and I got this in one of my Memebox phases. I was obsessed with Disney princesses as a child and while Tinkerbell isn't really a princess, she made Peter Pan much more enjoyable for me to watch. My dad actually gave me a light-up feather pen with a Tinkerbell adornment on top that I cherish to this day :D I'm sure you all want to know more about the products than more of my Tinkerbell anecdotes so let's cut to the chase!
REVIEW | Rimmel London ScandalEYES Eye Shadow Stick
Monday, April 20, 2015
Quick and easy is the name of the game when it comes to the Rimmel London ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks. Rimmel consistently has great products and these are no different. I picked up two shades, Trespassing Taupe and Bluffing for starters.
REVIEW | L'Oreal Infallible Eye Crayon
Getting off my liquid lipstick train and hopping onto the eyeshadow pencil express, I've been collecting and trying a bunch of them lately. I've done reviews and comparisons on the ones from Milani, NYX, and Tarte but my collection has grown again. Tati from glamlifeguru actually alerted me to the L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow Crayons and she did not steer me wrong. I picked up two shades that I would get the most use out of, Enduring Rose and Forever Taupe.

EMPTIES | March 2015 ♡
Saturday, April 18, 2015
It's a bit late but a good Spring cleaning was in order. I used up 14 products, which is a great accomplishment! Some products I'm sad to see go, others...not so much. There's quite a disappointing one but you'll have to keep reading to find out! Starting off with makeup since this is a makeup blog after all ;)
TIPS ┊ Foundation 101
Thursday, April 16, 2015
With the slew of foundation posts I've been blogging about last week, I thought it would be apt to share 10 of my favorite tips for applying them, whether powder, liquid, or stick. I wanted to update my Summer-proof Makeup Tips that I posted almost 2 years ago. Some of these tips have been bandied about on the interwebz before but hopefully, some of these tips will be fresh and useful. Without further ado, let's jump into them!
PRODUCT SMACKDOWN ┊Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation vs Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
Tuesday, April 7, 2015
One of my favorite pastimes is to find affordable alternatives to my beloved high end products. Don't get me wrong, the high end stuff is amazing but being a student, I need to be stricter about what I spend on. Most of the time, the high end stuff is great, justifying the price; with drugstore things, it can be a hit or miss. I've been looking for an affordable alternative to my favorite summertime foundation, the Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, because I need a darker shade as I inevitably tan, regardless of how much sunscreen I slather on. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation appealed to me because I've had good experiences with their concealers. Do I think it's a dead-on dupe? Keep reading to find out!
PRODUCT SMACKDOWN ┊Missha M Flawless Stick Foundation vs Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick
Ever had those days where you hardly had any sleep the night before and you've pressed the snooze alarm one too many times, giving you less than 10 minutes to get ready? Well, that's my everyday situation and most days, that's alright but some days, I have a presentation or something fancy to attend and my naked face won't cut it. That's where stick foundations come in to save the day (and my face)! The two that I tested are the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick and the Missha M Flawless Stick Foundation. Keep on reading to see which I think is better!
UNBOXING | SoYoung x MEMEBOX: Soyoung Box
Monday, April 6, 2015
Happy Easter or Passover to those that celebrate it! I dyed am egg for the first time ever and it turned out really nice! Anyhoo, I wanted to share my thoughts on the I Wish Lovely MEMEBOX. I love watching Soyoung 언니's videos so I was excited when I heard she was releasing her own brand of makeup. Composed of 3 Stick Shadows, 2 Lip & Cheek multiple, and a concealer. I purchased the Soyoung Box which came with everything except the concealer.
PRODUCT SMACKDOWN┊ L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable, True Match Lumi, and Infallible Pro-Matte
Sunday, April 5, 2015
We're back for another installation of Product Smackdown! I love comparing products that I have in my collection to see what makes the cut and which ones fall flat. Today, I bring you the three iterations of L'Oreal's best-selling foundation: the True Match Super Blendable, True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous and the newest addition, the Infallible Pro-Matte. While each gives me different finishes, I thought it would be useful to hear the pros and cons of each and figure out which one would suit your skin type the best!
REVIEW | Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Liquid Foundation
As the weather starts to warm up and the days get longer here in the Northern Hemisphere, so too do my makeup changes to accomodate. I look for lightweight foundations that look natural in sunlight yet still covers everything that I need it to. One of the foundations that I enjoyed in Winter and am carrying over to Spring is the Tarte Amazonian Colored Clay Foundation.
