REVIEW | Innisfree Summer 2015 Limited Edition Auto Pencil Liners

FIRST IMPRESSIONS | Innisfree Summer 2015 Limited Edition Auto Pencil Liner & Glow Liquid Shadow summer 2015 review and swatches
Summer is officially over in the Northern Hemisphere but with temperatures in the 90's, it doesn't feel like it. This review is overdue but as the products are still available online at several retailers, I thought it would be okay to still post it. Innisfree is one of my favorite brands due to their idyllic, bucolic branding. I picked up two cushions, three liners, and two shadows. In addition, there were also nail polishes and skincare items but I have enough of those to last several lifetimes. Anyhoo, let's get on with the review!

Last summer, I picked up several Innisfree liners because I wanted to find the best eyeliner ever. After trying several drugstore brands available in the US and feeling disappointed, I decided to turn to Korean liners since KPOP stars have such fierce eyeliner game. I had great luck with the Innisfree Auto Pencil Liners so when I saw these additional summer colors, I decided to swipe these unique shades in my collection.

Packaging is adorable! The limited edition features surfers and umbrellas on the cap, fitting right in with summer. I appreciate the coordinating color base and twist-up design. Although it doesn't contain a built-in sharpener, the liner is retractable. The formula is creamy; these glide on like a dream. I would use a softer hand as the softer tip can get crushed. Since the tip is softer than most, it dulls down with a few uses but I didn't have a problem applying a thin line.  The ones I bought previously are still creamy so don't worry about them losing potency over time. Pigmentation with one swipe isn't great but with 3-5 passes, I got opaque color. There's a bit of leeway to blend out the liner but once they set, they aren't going anywhere. I wore these for 8 hours once and still had a solid line by the end of the night, even with my teary eyes. If you wear them over bare skin or without eye primer, you'll see some transfer on oily eyelids. However, the line is still intact, visible and dark. Despite their longevity, the removal process was easy with a makeup wipe. I usually have to break out the oily eye makeup remover to get rid of the MUFE Aqua Eyes (review) so this is a pleasant development.

The names are in Korean so I'm just going to refer to their number. #5 is an icy, seafoam green glitter liner. This one requires quite a bit of building up but the effect reminds of twinkling lights. I love glittery shadows but they can irritate my eyes. I don't have that problem with glitter liners so win-win for me! #6 is a teal satin liner. It's the smoothest liner to apply and the color reminds me of mallards, haha. Finally, #7 is a midnight blue with navy blue shimmers. This liner is gorgeous and I've been looking for a color like this for a while. When I tire of using basic black or brown, a deep, dark blue provides the depth I'm looking for while spicing up a simple look. I like to think that this shade of blue helps brighten my eyes.

So that's all for this post! If you want to see what else I picked up, check out my Korean Summer Haul (haul)! On another note, is anybody else glad to see summer go? I can finally put my AC on low and not feel like I'm sweating the life out of me, haha. If you're heading into Spring, what are you most excited for??

XOXO,
MWAH ♥
